Arusha is not a remarkable town as it stands, but its set in a convenient place to access other major parks  in Northern Tanzania since it’s the major safari capital in all Northern Tanzania area.

Below the 15000ft, Arusha sits extinct Mt. Meru volcano and has almost the perfect views on clear days.
Arusha is not worthy for a visit like Dar-es-salaam is, since both towns have no great deal and if you are not on time, its more rewarding to visit the bush.
Northern Tanzania safari is either end or start in Arusha.

The airport of Kilimanjaro is serviced daily by KLM and its 30 miles from Arusha. Before departing early on a safari the next day, you are required to book on that over night since flights arrive at around 21:00.
