River Trees Arusha.
If you are coming from Arusha, we believe River Trees to be the best place to stay in Arusha.
This friendly relaxed home (because its some one’s home), with the best atmosphere provides high quality food and excellent services. The camp is close to the airport since its in Usa River.

As opposed to 40 odd to Arusha, its 20 minutes drive a way to the camp. On clear days, you have excellent views of Mt Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro  (few miles away) and  attractive surrounding in day light.

As a starting point to Northern Tanzania Safari is definitely the first choice when you arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport (Like for most people visiting Northern Tanzania) with KLM.
There is no way you can avoid a night in Arusha since flight lands at 9pm. You can enjoy your sleep at night here at River Trees and you can catch up your first morning in a safari the 1st day.
You can access Mt. Meru and Arusha National Park since the River Tree Camp is conveniently located in a good place.

Mt. Meru Hotel
This hotel is situated near Arusha Airport so its used as a night stop in case you are on a tight budget and from the Airport it’s a 10-minute fly away to Serengeti National Park. Its also a good place to start your driving safari and it’s a short distance and easier to access Arusha town.

Like Arusha Coffee Lodge, Mt. Meru Hotel has no great deal, but acts as a stop over for your night, for those planning to visit a number of places, as well as saving money on things which do not count on your safari.

Ngaresero.
Here you start to fell the wilderness experience on the foothills of Mt. Meru.
In a perfect location in Arusha, the hotel offers a good choice and a Farm house to the Old German Colonials was built in a stylish way, with beautiful gardens. From Kilimanjaro Airport, its 30 minutes to Usa River where its is located.

If you are coming from Nairobi, its ideally located where Devanu Shuttle bus stops. The  hotel has good breakfast and quite a way from disastrous.

Arusha Coffee Lodge.
From Kilimanjaro Airport, the lodge lies right on the far end of Arusha.
The lodge lies on the road to Tarangire Serengeti National Park., Ngorongoro Crater and Highland and Lake Manyara National Park.
Definitely, it becomes part of the morning safaris. Its just a walk to Arusha Airport.
From Kilimajaro, its almost a long haul on the down side. This is especially seen on your arrival at night (If you came with KLM). This is why River Trees are preferred.

The rooms of the Lodge are decorated with wood burners, which look like touches in all rooms, to look attractive. The lodge also has a swimming pool and some excellent looking furniture, but rather 2 dimensional. Definitely, there is something about the place with a South African formulaic feel.

The Redd’s Restaurant-typified the place in this location. The food seems to be good. Descriptions are full of hope and flowery. However, lacking sadly is product itself.

Arusha National Park.
Arusha is not a remarkable town as it stands, but its set in a convenient place to access other major parks  in Northern Tanzania since it’s the major safari capital in all Northern Tanzania area.

Below the 15000ft, Arusha sits extinct Mt. Meru volcano and has almost the perfect views on clear days.
Arusha is not worthy for a visit like Dar-es-salaam is, since both towns have no great deal and if you are not on time, its more rewarding to visit the bush.
Northern Tanzania safari is either end or start in Arusha.

The airport of Kilimanjaro is serviced daily by KLM and its 30 miles from Arusha. Before departing early on a vacation tour or Tanzania Safari vacation holiday the next day, you are required to book on that over night since flights arrive at around 21:00.
