Day 1 Arusha to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Your safari tour will start in Arusha town in the early morning, drive to Ngorongoro conservation area and have lunch there. You can take on an afternoon tour at the crater floor, returning later to your Ngorongoro safari lodge,have dinner and retire.

Day 2 Ngorongoro Crater
Wake up early morning just in time for a game drive or tour in the Ngorongoro crater. Be prepared to meet the lion prides, elephant herds, Zebras, Hippos and bird species such as the Flamingos, Jackals, eagle, vulture, sacred ibis and long necked heron. The afternoon is perfect for a walking safari tour done on the crater rim. After the Ngorongoro tour, return to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
After breakfast, return to Arusha town, have lunch.

Gibb’s Farm.
This is an operating farm with a short distance from Karatu in the Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands.

Just below the Nrongoro Crater rim, the farm is set right at the forest reserve edge.
From Manyara National Park, it’s a short drive in an hour you can be on the crater flow from her.

Gibb’s is one of the largest cultivated farmland in the area. The farm with its managers and staff, produce one of the highest quality food products and offer excellent services as a result.

With wood burning stoves, it makes life easier for accommodation. The lodge has hot running water within the ensuite bathrooms. Gibb’s is the best place to stay for your next morning, between Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. This is conveniently located on teh Southern rim of Ngorongoro Crater, a round 7500ft above sea level, compared to Ngorongoro Crater lodge, Serena lodge isnt luxurious and if your budgetdoesnt go beyond teh crater lodge, Serena lodge comes the best comapred to all other lodges at teh Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge building is made up of Ivy-covered native stone and plants, which gives it an exciting look since it looks like the surrounding.

Plantation Lodge Kifaru and Gibb’s, are among the otehr small few lodges (No crater views),
if you prefer small lodges. Thay lie a few metres away from Ngorongoro.

Temperatures range from 100C in July and August to 300C maximum in the hottest season of the year. When temperatures are warm and the air is clear, is the best time to visit the place especially in May and November. This is the excellent climate at the park since days are warm and nights are cool.
A number of microhabitats are diverse due to a change in rainfall especially between Eastern and Western facing slopes. As a result, all the weather reaches from the East, then easily it gets as far as the Rift valley, forcing the air to raise, hence causing constant rain in the Eastern side, while the Western side faces remain in rainy shadow.
