Gombe has a stunning scenery with streams flowing all year round in the 16 major valleys especially in dry seasons, big animals are provided with water from these streams since some fauna in the local area do not move to the lake shores.
The area is dominated by mosaic vegetation; along the floors of the valley are ever green thick forests while the crests ridges having rolling grasslands and steep slopes covered with semi-deciduous woodlands.
