Mahale Mountains National Park is one of the unique destinations for a safari, due to its crystal mountains breath-taking scenically as well as being a home to chimpanzees.
On the edge of Lake Tanganyika, there lies the largest population of the chimpanzees, about 100 miles South of Kigoma.
The forested mountains rise over eight thousand feet from the crystal waters of the lake above sea level.
It takes 4-hours flight from Arusha to Muhale National Park for 500 miles and every minute to get there is a rewarding moment.

In Africa, the best place for chimpanzee safari is Muhale National Park.

The slopes of the forested mountain extend towards the edge of Lake Tanganyika crystal clear water, and the sandy beaches. Its only water that makes this place magical.

Muhale Mountains Chimpanzees are in a group called “M” Group, with over 100 chimpanzees being subjected to one of the world’s largest primatology study filed conducted by Japan’s Kyoto University.
The chimps were habituated initially by forest researchers during the early 1960’s and in your presence, you can see how they hunt, forage mate and even play with each other.
