Serengeti Migration Tour Tanzania
Serengeti Migrations.
Serengeti Migrations are driven by weather and therefore unpredictable. So Mobile Camps are sued in this way, to find migration as it moves throughout Serengeti. Moving is timed by several weeks in extreme wet dry seasons.
These areas visited have no permanent camps, therefore with a Mobile Camp, it becomes easier to catch up with the wildebeest between August and October along Mara River where they spend much time.
Visit the wildebeest migrations for more information, unpredictable weather and the move along with the herds of animals.
Its more rewarding to spend some time in Loliondo and Serengeti to increase your chances of seeing migration. This can be experienced by 2 mobile camps, which are used in Northern Tanzania.
Moru Kopjes.
Kopjes is an Afrikaans name (Pronounced as “copy”), referring to Inselbergs and large clusters of granite rock which are found in many parks of Tanzania mainly in Serengeti. These are ancient hard plugs of rock raised up through the softer layer of volcanic ash soil.
The place consists of various Kopjes in a sea of grassland of different sizes.
The Kopjes are shaped like enormous bread loaves and rounded vast granite blocks. Some have dense tree growth and bush, others are bare rocks, while others have varying degree vegetation.
Its in contrast about anything of the Kopjes t the plains and it real reflects the perfect views.
Moru is situated in the Serengeti Southern Plains at the Western edge, half way between Ndutu and Western corridor of vultures and to the Southwest of Seronera.
Moru marks the Southern plains migration highlights on the Western edge of Serengeti National Park. Its this route that the wildebeest take as they move away from the Southern plains to the Western Corridor and Central Serengeti in early June and in May.
Moru is just a group of different Kopjes. Others include Golkopjes and Barafu Kopjes and on the road between Naabi and Seronera lies the Simba Kopjes.
With a couple of days spent, here with other locations in the park well placed between the plains and the Western Corridor, Moru is quite enough to called a separate area of its own. Nevertheless, it has a variety of attractions such as the Kopjes beautiful scenery, plains, River Mbalageti and also the excellent atmosphere for relaxation.
Moru is also a home to cats and they look more photographic, while on the scenery and the best way to see them is climb up the rock in the early morning and just watch.
In this place, you will have spectacular views at buffaloes, giraffe, elephants and lioness chasing hartebeest.
Best place to stay is Moru Seasonal Camp.
