Being the first tented camp in Ruaha National Park. Its on a large scale with clear views of the game and it offers the best in Ruaha.
The camp is below a Bush Safari Camp, built by owner Chris Fox who operates the camp and offers great services and quality food.

However, Mwagusi is not all about luxury and if you are after luxury, they try Jongomero Camp.
The camp was built in 90s when Ruaha was almost an unknown safari destination.
When few people had heard of Ruaha, it was a bold move by that time and those who had believed (mistakenly) that there were few animals and many tsetse flies. But these days, in Ruaha National Park, Mwagusi is a great safari destination and the best place to experience the real East African Safari. The animals have become accustomed to the camp so it’s a matter of just sitting on your tent and seeing the animals below you in the sand river.

Under thatched structures, Mwagusi is a comfortable place to live in, with large ensuite bathrooms. In Ruaha, it’s the best place to access game within a beautiful atmosphere.
Mwangusi’s main focus is to get you the best game viewing areas such as flood plains, the escarpment, Ruaha River and Mwagusi River as well, accompanied by excellent crew members.
Chris along with his crew members will always work extra harder to get you to where the game resides.
