Ruaha River Lodge.
Being the first lodge to be built in Ruaha, its set among a large cluster of rocks and its definitely a large lodge. Its situated on the Northern bank of or the water edge of the Great Ruaha River.
In Ruaha National Park, the convenient place of the lodge particularly in the dry areas is one of the best game viewing areas. This is true because Ruaha River attracts a number of large animals to drink.
A number of elephants and other animals (resident game) much pretty sees the camp as home since the camp has been here for so long and a number are attracted near the riverine trees, which trees also make the tents shade. So the place becomes the best for close views in your room.
Going to and from your tent at night might be a fair amount a round and be careful that you don’t meet the buffaloes around.
The camp has good quality accommodation with the best rooms but (far from uncomfortable) and bars with dinning areas set to make most of the riverside look. The river lodge doesn’t pretend and is not a luxury lodge and if your interested in such, then the nearby Jongomero may work for you better.
Born of all years experience, the lodge has friendly staff and management, many of whom are still serving the lodge since the late eighties when it was first opened.
