Ruaha Safari, Tanzania Attractions

Ruaha is also a home to over 400 bird species in conjunction with animals until recently, new species   were found in the area.
Ruaha like Selous Game Reserve, is some where  consume your time probably 3 days minimum and 5 days remained with to see. The National park is large enough in that almost 5% is usually driven by tourists and another area only known by experienced guides in Ruaha.

Large herds of elephants, buffaloes, predators especially the lions, not forgetting the large number of Tanzania Safari bird species in outrageous breeding plumage.
During your visit in wet season, try much harder to look for the wildlife and spend at least 5 days there. For sure you will not be disappointed like the rest of Southern Tanzania.

Ruaha experiences 3 seasons with short rains between October and November (when things turn green), then temperatures reach a maximum of 300C by day while air is low in humidity at night when things become even more uncomfortable.
Average Annual rainfall is 650mm in Ruaha (1000mm for the whole nation) especially  falling in March and April. In this period, sand rivers flood like Madunya and Mwagusi.
