Sand River Selous is a small First Class lodge built on the Northern bank of River Rifiji, at a point called Kibambawe. It has one of the most striking locations overlooking a mile wide stretch of Languid water almost 10 miles to Stigler’s Gorge Stream. This lodge offers quality safaris away from the crowds, by foot, vehicle and boat. From the sand rivers, a few lodges can rival views overlooking Rufiji River at its highest oint. The lodge offers top quality luxury and authenticity, giving visitors a chance to also taste the wilderness experience in the Northern sector of Selous Game Reserve. The rooms are well-furnished and beautifully constructed with the best services and first class food. Wildlife is also in plenty and you can access the wild from walking safaris, fly camps, boat safaris and game drives in land rovers. A serious approach to the wildlife. Vast open river beds game drives are more exciting especially in the dry season along the umbene sand rivers, accompanied by TZ highly enthusiastic and experienced guides. Along the dry rivers particularly in the evening, its common to find large herds of giraffe gathering as well as other species.
