# Game viewing in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park
# Visits to local curio markets and the chance to interact with local Masai people
# This style of camping is simple but if you enjoy home style camping in your own country you will find it more than adequate
# Public campsites are used and as far as possible they are selected to take into account the movement of game. The ablution facilities of the campsites are used for washing etc.
# The camp crew consists of a driver / guide and camp assistant and together they will do most of the camp chores – you are expected to assist in setting up and dismantling the camp.
# Travel in 4 x 4 safari vehicles (usually Land Cruiser or Land Rover) – these are spacious and have large windows and roof top hatches for all round viewing
# Guaranteed window seat for each passenger and a maximum of 7 per vehicle
# A trailer carries all camp gear and luggage
# This safari is a simple alternative to a lodge safari and is ideal for those who prefer to sleep under canvass and get away from the crowds.
# Optional balloon safari in the Serengeti – approx US$420 per person
# Keep in mind that road conditions in Tanzania can be tough – travel can be very slow at times.
# Nights can be cold when camping, particularly at altitude such as on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, you will need warm clothing for the evenings.
# Be aware that public showers and toilets in Tanzania are not always clean, fully functioning and well supplied with water.
# You are expected to assist with setting up the camp and dismantling it – this adds to the adventure style of the safari as you do feel like you are part of the team & not just a tourist!
# Local conditions may affect the day-by-day itinerary, are you OK with a bit of flexibility?
# You will be required to complete and sign an indemnity form before you travel.
