Northern Tanzania.
This is the best part when travelling in Tanzania because it has the largest game areas with well renowned extraordinary array of game parks with the largest percentage of large animals as well as not forgetting its stunning scenery definitely from the highest peak, Mt. Kilimanjaro then to Southern Serengeti vast plains.
These parks are very close to each other and you can make a combination to visit all of them from Arusha in a driving safari.
To get off the beaten track is eminently possible to Northern Tanzania despite the number of visitors.
Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands.
Ngorongoro Crater has the largest unbroken Caldera in the whole world and the place has the best chances for seeing the Big 4. Ngorongoro highlands lie on the Great Rift valley edge, forming the Eastern boundary of Serengeti.
Serengeti National Park.
The park is home to a variety of wild game, with the best scene of spectacular migrating wildebeest.
It has over 500 bird species and large concentration of predators in the plains.
Tarangire National Park.
This is a less known park with huge concentration of game especially in the dry season, with excellent walking experience in Northern Tanzania. This park lies in the Southern Lake Manyara close to the Maasai land open plain.
Lake Manyara National Park.
Is an ever green forest acacia woodland, lake shores, game and escarpment. The park lies South of Ngorongoro highlands, forming part of the Rift Valley escarpment on a small strip of land.
Lake Eyasi is the oldest Soda Lake forming part of the Eastern Rift Valley. To the West, it forms the 3000foot escarpment boundary.
Lake Natron is also another soda lake with a few lesser flamingos breeding area in East Africa.
This remote and wild area is a home to 21/2 million birds.
