We shall slumber at our lodge within the park as we enjoy breathtaking views and the exceptional ambience.
Day 3: Safari to Lake Manyara National Park
Today we shall enjoy an entire day game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This is among the smallest parks in Tanzania; however it offers outstanding safari experiences. The Manayara lake shore is congested with various bird species and as you go bird watching you may come across the tree climbing lions. The park holds a number of large animals and spectacular cliffs by the Rift valley escarpment which form a vivid background. Later in the afternoon we shall drive from the park to our place of accommodation in the tented camp.
Day 4: Safari to Serengeti National Park
We proceed to Serengeti National Park, and along the way we shall stop by Olduvai Gorge where two archaeologists Louis plus Mary Leakey discovered some important archaeological remains back in the 1950s. In the small museum you will see evidence of humanity’s existence dated 2.5 million years ago. After lunch we shall proceed to Serengeti where we shall enjoy an afternoon game drive through the large plains dotted with acacia trees and sporadic kopje. From December to May we will witness the annual migration of animals among which are millions of wildebeests, gazelles plus zebras, which are trailed by numerous lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and lions to prey on them. We shall dine and slumber at tented camp.
Day 5: full day safari to Serengeti National Park
Beginning the day early, we shall spend another day in this splendid park. We shall go to the Hippo pool to marvel at the large animals cool off in the waters adjacent to the large crocodiles. We shall get an opportunity to enjoy sights of hunting lions chasing after the wildebeests particularly during the migration. Drive through the large open plains dotted with kopjes which are volcanic rocky projections which offer shelter to various animals in this park. They are also splendid view points of watching the large Serengeti plains. Within these vast fascinating plains you will enjoy sights of lions, zebras, elephants, wildebeests, giraffes and lions and on a fortunate day even leopards plus cheetahs. In addition you will marvel at the prolific birdlife that includes ostriches and the grand secretary bird among many others. Dine and sleep at the tented camp.
Day 6: Safari to Ngorongoro Crater
We begin the day with a morning game-drive prior to driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro is not a national park but rather an exceptional conservation area in other words the entire area is conserved for both wildlife and the resident Masai people that graze their livestock within this very area. During our drive to Ngorongoro, we shall get an opportunity to see the Masai people’s lifestyle. On reaching the gate entrance, we shall be briefed about the intriguing volcanic terrain, drive by the edge of the spectacular crater getting an opportunity to look into the crater’s floor where we shall see numerous wildebeests and buffaloes before descending to its floor. With the exception of giraffes whose elongated legs cannot cope with the steep walls of the crater, there is a wide variety of animals you will see in this crater among which are lions, rhinos, leopards, elephants plus buffaloes. We shall drive to our place of accommodation in the later afternoon which will be a tented camp on the outskirts of the crater.
Spend the morning at leisure unwinding having had a wonderful safari and adventure though this part of the country. Alternatively, visit the vibrant and colored Masai Market.
