Tarangire Safari Tanzania
When it comes to dry seasons, try not to miss a single day in Tarangire. It becomes more interesting and exciting when you get to see a variety of wild animals, especially large herds of elephants. This is accompanied by excellent walking safaris seen elsewhere in Northern Tanzania.
Tarangire Park Northern Section borders Lake Manyara National Park) close to South eastern tip), and further to Maasai steppe 60 miles South wards.
Tarangire National Park Northern entrance is around 60 miles below the Rift Valley escarpment South west of Arusha (3-hours drive or ½ hour flight).
There remains asmall part of ecosystem to be viewed in Tarangire; like in Serengeti when it comes to rainy season. The system extends in the dispersal areas of South and East in the Maasai steppe.
However, during the dry season (July-October), like the rule is, large number of animals concentrate on a few left water sources like on Tarangire River, which attracts large numbers of wildebeests, elephants, eland, buffaloes, oryx and zebras as well, until it starts raining that they start moving back to the grazing yards.
